JODI: Russia stays world’s top oil producer in November 2017

MOSCOW, Jan 22 (PRIME) -- Russia’s daily oil output grew 0.7% on the month to 10.347 million barrels in November 2017, allowing the country to stay the world’s top oil producer, the Joint Organizations Data Initiative (JODI) said in a report on Monday.

Saudi Arabia was the second largest oil producer with daily output falling 1.6% on the month to 9.891 million barrels, while the U.S. was the third with daily output growing 0.3% to 9.669 million barrels.

Saudi Arabia’s daily oil exports grew 2% to 7.016 million barrels in November, while exports of the U.S. fell 22% to 1.339 million barrels. JODI did not provide any data for Russia’s daily oil exports in November, but said that the country exported 5.363 million barrels in October and 4.929 million barrels in September.

Daily oil refining in the U.S. rose 5% on the month to 16.878 million barrels in November, in Russia by 6.9% to 5.934 million barrels and in Saudi Arabia by 3.4% to 2.778 million barrels.
